Your practice stays on your phone.

Effective July 24, 2026 · Last updated July 24, 2026

The short version. Faith Alarm has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your name, alarm times, journal entries, streaks, and favorites are stored in a database on your device and are not sent anywhere. The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking services. The only third party that receives any data is RevenueCat, which processes subscriptions, and it only receives what it needs to confirm whether your subscription is active.

This policy explains what Faith Alarm (“the app”, “we”, “us”) does with your information. It applies to the Faith Alarm mobile app for iOS and Android, published by Eureka Software Factory.

1. There is no account

Faith Alarm does not ask you to register, sign in, or provide an email address, phone number, or password. There is no login screen and no user database on any server we operate.

When you finish onboarding, the app generates a random identifier on your device to label your own records in the local database. That identifier is not derived from you, your device, or any advertising ID, and it is not reported to us.

2. What is stored on your device

Everything you create in Faith Alarm is written to a local SQLite database inside the app's private storage on your phone. It is not backed up to a server we control and it is not synchronized between devices.

Data Faith Alarm stores locally, and why.
What Why it is stored
The name you enter during onboarding To greet you on the home screen. A first name is enough; nothing verifies it.
The practices you select, and your optional style preference (for example “Catholic” or “Non-denominational”) To shape the devotional content the app shows you.
Your morning and night alarm times, whether each is on, and the identifier of the notification each one scheduled To schedule, cancel, and re-schedule your alarms.
Your device's current time zone, read from the operating system To keep alarms at the correct local time when you travel.
Each practice you start, skip, or complete — its date, times, and which passage it used To fill in your journal and calculate streaks.
Anything you write in the journal step To show it back to you in the Journal tab. Journal text is never transmitted.
Which library entries you favorite or save for offline reading To power the Favorites and Downloads filters.
Your streaks, grace days used, and unlocked milestones To display your rhythm.
Your subscription status, plan name, and expiry date To unlock premium content, including when the phone is offline. Mirrored from RevenueCat — see section 4.

The app also stores a single yes/no flag in the operating system's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) recording whether your premium subscription was active the last time it was checked. This lets premium content open immediately at launch without a network round trip. It contains no personal information.

The devotional content itself — passages, reflections, and prayers — ships inside the app. Faith Alarm does not download content, so browsing and reading the library produce no network requests and no server-side record of what you read.

3. Notifications and alarms

Faith Alarm asks for permission to send notifications. If you grant it, the app schedules repeating daily notifications on your device using the operating system's own scheduler. We do not operate a push server, we do not register a push token, and no alarm you set is reported to us or to anyone else.

If you decline the permission, the rest of the app still works — you can open a practice at any time — but the alarms will not fire. You can change the permission at any time in your device's system settings.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Faith Alarm Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. Two things happen when you subscribe:

This is the only feature in Faith Alarm that sends data off your device. If you never open the paywall, the manage-subscription screen, or restore purchases, the app still initializes RevenueCat at startup so it can confirm your entitlement status.

RevenueCat acts as our processor for subscription management. We use the information it returns only to decide whether to unlock premium content.

5. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Faith Alarm does not transmit analytics. The app contains an internal event tracker used during development — it writes event names such as “practice completed” to the developer console on a developer's own machine when running a development build. In the version distributed through the App Store and Google Play, that tracker does nothing and sends nothing. No analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting service is bundled in the app.

Faith Alarm contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers, no cookies, and no social media SDKs. It does not track you across other apps or websites, and it does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If this changes. Should a future version add an analytics provider, this policy and the app's store privacy labels will be updated before that version ships.

6. What we do not collect

Faith Alarm does not request, access, or collect:

The only permission the app asks for is notifications.

7. Who your data is shared with

We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it for advertising. The only recipients of any data are:

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, but because we do not hold your journal, alarms, or practice history on any server, there is very little for us to disclose.

8. Retention and deletion

Your local data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the Faith Alarm app from your phone deletes the local database and everything in it, including your journal. This cannot be undone, and because nothing is backed up to us, we cannot restore it for you.

Data held by RevenueCat is retained under RevenueCat's own retention policy. If you want records associated with your app's RevenueCat identifier deleted, contact us at support@faithalarm.io and we will make the request on your behalf. Note that deleting subscription records may prevent you from restoring a purchase later.

To cancel a subscription, use your App Store or Google Play account settings — cancelling in the app's Manage subscription screen opens those same settings. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not delete data.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information a company holds about you, including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act.

For Faith Alarm, most of those rights are satisfied directly on your device: the data is already in your possession, you can edit it in the app, and uninstalling deletes it. For anything held by RevenueCat, write to support@faithalarm.io and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Where we process personal information under the GDPR, our lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you — providing the app and the subscription you purchased — and our legitimate interest in preventing fraudulent purchases.

10. Children

Faith Alarm is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the app has no accounts and stores everything locally, it does not gather information from any user that would identify them to us. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact support@faithalarm.io.

11. Security

Your data is protected by your device: the app's database lives in app-private storage that other apps cannot read, and your subscription flag is kept in the system keychain or keystore. Using a device passcode, biometric lock, and current operating system updates is the most effective protection for your journal.

If your device backs up app data — for example through iCloud Backup or Android Backup — a copy of the Faith Alarm database may be included in that backup, under Apple's or Google's terms rather than ours. You can control this in your device's backup settings.

No system is perfectly secure, but because Faith Alarm holds no central store of user journals, there is no server-side database of your practice to breach.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and post the new version at this address. Material changes — for example, adding a service that transmits data off your device — will be described in the app before they take effect.

13. Contact

Questions about this policy, or requests about your data, go to support@faithalarm.io.
